SiteX Cookie Policy
How cookies and similar technologies are used on SiteX web properties.
SECTION A — INTRODUCTION
Sitex LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company doing business as SiteX (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”), uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website (the “Service”). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
Sitex LLC owns the SiteX trademarks and service marks. Sitex Technologies LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company, owns the SiteX patents and pending patent applications, and licenses such patents to the Company. Except where the context expressly refers to Sitex Technologies LLC’s intellectual property rights or status as licensor, references in this Cookie Policy to the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Sitex LLC.
This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy (Section B, “Cookies and Tracking Technologies”) and should be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use, End User License Agreement (EULA), Acceptable Use Policy, and Legal Glossary. Defined terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in those documents.
Our cookie-consent banner offers two choices, Accept and Reject, and your choice is stored in your browser's local storage. Google Analytics loads when you visit the website; if you select Reject, Google Analytics is disabled for your subsequent activity. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and are used to enable security, consent management, and core website functionality. You may manage or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie banner or as described in Section E below. Certain features of the Service may not function properly without cookies.
SECTION B — WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile device) by a website or application when you visit or interact with it. Cookies allow the website to recognize your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions.
Related Technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use the following similar technologies:
- Local Storage: Data stored in your browser’s local storage to maintain application state and user preferences across sessions.
- Session Storage: Temporary data stored in your browser that is cleared when the browser tab or window is closed.
- Pixel Tags (Web Beacons): Small, transparent images embedded in web pages or emails used to measure page visits, email opens, or other usage metrics.
- SDKs and Analytics Libraries: Software development kits integrated into the Service to collect usage data and performance metrics.
SECTION C — TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE
We categorize the cookies and similar technologies used on the Service as follows:
C.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They enable core functionality such as:
- Website security and integrity features, where used by our hosting provider or forms
- Load balancing and server routing
- Remembering cookie consent preferences
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest / performance of a contract. These cookies do not require consent.
C.2 Analytics and Performance Cookies
These cookies help us understand how users interact with the Service by collecting analytics and usage data used to generate aggregated analytics summaries. They allow us to measure and improve the performance of the Service, including:
- Page views, session duration, and navigation paths
- Feature usage frequency and interaction patterns
- Error rates, load times, and performance metrics
- Device type, browser type, and operating system information
Legal Basis: Consent. Google Analytics loads when you visit the website. You may opt out by selecting Reject on our cookie-consent banner, which disables Google Analytics, or by using the controls described in Section E.
C.3 Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization within the Service. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have integrated. They include:
- Remembering user preferences (e.g., display and interface settings)
- Remembering whether you have dismissed the email-signup prompt
Legal Basis: Consent. Functional local storage, such as your consent choice and whether you dismissed the email-signup prompt, is set as needed to operate those features. Disabling local storage or cookies in your browser may reduce the quality of your experience.
C.4 Cookies We Do NOT Use
Consistent with the Privacy Policy, we do not use:
- Advertising or targeting cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies or behavioral advertising cookies
- Third-party cookies for the purpose of selling or sharing personal information
- Social media tracking pixels (e.g., Facebook Pixel, Twitter Pixel)
We do not engage in behavioral advertising or sell personal information collected through cookies.
SECTION D — COOKIE INVENTORY

SECTION E — MANAGING YOUR COOKIE PREFERENCES
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically configure your browser to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, accept all cookies, or delete cookies when you close your browser. The method for managing cookies varies by browser. Consult your browser’s help documentation for specific instructions:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Other Site Data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions > Manage and Delete Cookies
Device Settings (Mobile)
For mobile devices, you can manage cookies and tracking through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings > Safari > Block All Cookies; or Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Android: Chrome > Settings > Site Settings > Cookies
Opt-Out of Analytics
The Service uses Google Analytics for the website. You may opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Impact of Disabling Cookies
If you disable or delete cookies, some features of the Service may not function correctly. Specifically, disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the website or its forms from functioning properly; disabling functional cookies may reset your preferences each visit; and disabling analytics cookies will not affect Service functionality but will limit our ability to improve the Service.
SECTION F — DO NOT TRACK (DNT) DISCLOSURE
As stated in our Privacy Policy, the Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) browser signals. However, as we do not engage in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising, the practical effect of a DNT signal on your experience with the Service is minimal.
SECTION G — THIRD-PARTY COOKIES AND SERVICES
Certain third-party service providers whose technologies are integrated into the Service may set their own cookies on your device. These providers include, but are not limited to:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC): Website analytics and performance measurement. Google Analytics loads when you visit the website; selecting Reject on the consent banner disables it.
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.): Supports the website email-signup form and measures marketing email engagement. Mailchimp may set cookies when you interact with the email-signup prompt.
We do not control cookies set by third-party providers. You are encouraged to review the privacy and cookie policies of these third-party services. The Company is not responsible for the practices of third-party providers regarding cookies.
SECTION H — DATA COLLECTED THROUGH COOKIES
Information collected through cookies is subject to the same data handling practices described in our Privacy Policy, including data retention (Privacy Policy Section F), data security (Privacy Policy Section G), and your privacy rights (Privacy Policy Section E).
No personal information collected through cookies is sold, shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, or used to create profiles for advertising purposes.
Licensed Data and Cookies: The website, including its cookies and local storage, does not cache, store, or retain any licensed third-party content (such as Hexagon imagery or LightBox parcel data). Licensed content is delivered only within the native SiteX mobile application and is subject to the caching limits and restrictions described in Terms of Use Section L and the Privacy Policy.
SECTION I — CHILDREN AND COOKIES
The Service is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from individuals under 18. For more information, refer to Privacy Policy Section H.
SECTION J — CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in technology, or changes in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and may provide additional notice through the Service or by email.
Material changes will be communicated through reasonable notice and, where required by law or designated by the Company, may require renewed affirmative acceptance. Non-material changes may become effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where renewed affirmative acceptance is not required.
